Health Canada is holding a series of two webinars focused on community-level responses to the overdose crisis, a growing issue affecting communities across Canada. These sessions will offer a unique opportunity to learn about innovative, community-driven solutions and innovative strategies tackling the crisis head-on.

Webinar 2: Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 1:00 pm EST
Theme: Building trust: the role of community engagement

Duration: 1.5 hours each
Format: Virtual, interactive (via Zoom)

As the crisis continues to evolve, local communities are developing tailored strategies to address their unique challenges. These webinars will focus on:

  • Engaging communities & building trust—especially with vulnerable groups—by incorporating local knowledge and meeting people where they are.
  • Cross-sectoral partnerships between governments, healthcare, social services, and community organizations to create comprehensive, sustainable responses.
  • Facilitating connections across communities and regions to promote knowledge-sharing and collective action.
