Dr. Leah Genge is a family physician and Cape Breton-Newfoundland hybrid with Certification of Added Competence in Addiction Medicine. She found her way to medicine after working in the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver and has practiced for over 10 years serving people who are street-involved or experiencing homelessness. Mobile Outreach Street Health (MOSH) is her Halifax work family, where she is the medical co-lead for the Managed Alcohol & Safe Opioid Supply programs. She is a member of the Inpatient Addiction Medicine Consult Service (IAMCS) at the Halifax Infirmary and provides community Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT).
