Andrew MacLean, MD

Andy is a physician specializing in persistent pain and addiction medicine, focused on building interdisciplinary, evidence-based care and mentorship across Nova Scotia’s Western Zone.

He completed his medical degree and Family Medicine residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax in 2015. After seven years working as a family doctor in Spryfield, NS, and in Rural Emergency Medicine in Liverpool, NS.

He now practices in Addiction Medicine (at Direction 180, a low-barrier Opioid Agonist Treatment Centre) and Persistent Pain (at the Berwick Persistent Pain Program).

He brings experience in program design, clinical leadership, and education to the AMN-P&A Advisory Committee.
